What can I say about Dinohunters. I'm not sure what exactly I was searching for at the time but I stumbled across this game. Released by Kuma Reality Games who is partnered with SpikeTV, this game has both single-player and multi-player "levels" that have been released over the years in a pretty cool episodic format.
Dinohunters utilizes the Source engine which is also used by the Half-Life series and other Valve games. This means the graphics are good, physics are decent, and you have an overall smooth gaming experience.
Dinohunters will require you to install some software from Kuma which will punish you with advertisements but a good scan by a couple antivirus program shows that it IS completely clean. Basically, as you download a game, you may see a commercial or two in addition to some very funny movies featuring the characters in Dinohunters.
The premise of the game is that ex-celebrities travel back in time while on a reality show to hunt dinosaurs. This sounds ridiculous right? Well, it's supposed to be that way. This game is pretty damn fun to play and downright funny. There is even a machinima series available for your viewing pleasure.
The gameplay is your typical FPS fare. You get various weapons and blow the crap out of stuff. The multiplayer is decently populated with many maps to choose from.
I usually don't go for games in this vein but Dinohunters is a blast to play.
