Anyone who loves games should be familiar with the universe of Fallout. Fallout is set in a post-apocalyptic world after a nuclear war in the 1950s. Much of the music and some items you find are clearly from that era.
Fallout 1 and 2 were isometric turn-based strategy games but were absolutely amazing. People who have never played them may not appreciate the dated graphics but the amount of stuff to keep you busy is awesome. I always compared Fallout to Mad Max. You have the badass in the leather jacket and his trusty dog roaming the wasteland. Good stuff.
Fallout 3 was developed by Bethesda who is best known for The Elder Scrolls series. Hardcore fans don't like the fact that Fallout 3 is going to be a FPS with some RPG elements thrown in.
