Rant 1 Steve Jobs

March 3rd 2011 07:07
(before reading this read iphone4 review.)
Hay people it’s the one you love...plaba if you said mummy, I will drown you in a lake. As you know, if you read my Iphone review, I hate Steve Jobs( CEO of apple). I am going to begin with saying yes I do have an Ipod and want a mac book, but for argument purposes its Steve I hate not Apple. If you have seen him in an interview, he is very cocky, this is obvious, however it is what he is cocky about.
Microsoft as you know created a boom in computing technology, they where the creators. Steve himself would not exist without Microsoft, the technology he used to start apple was in fact Microsoft own. This is the funny bit , if you listen to Steve showing of Apples products his speech is 3/10 the product and 7/10 talking about how bad Microsoft's products are. In one speech you hear how Microsoft copied Apples fonts. Yet again he would not even have these fonts if he hadn't used a PC yes a PC "The God Of Tech" used a PC. Yet he is so smug about himself. =D
The second reason is mark up price. If you look at any of Apples products you will see that there is a HUGE mark up price, almost double the cost to build them. Now if you are one of those people saying “But plaba, Apple need to make money”. Ok you mentally challenged people, I hope you are not mentally challenged enough to not know what the Bugati Varon is. It is a very nice car. This car is made by a very successful company. These cars may cost 1 million to buy. However they cost over twice as much to make. They are this company’s gift to its fans. Steve takes advantage of his fans; he knows his products are desired so he can put this huge price on the things “apple” sells.
That is why I hate Steve Jobs. May he rot in his £1000000 coffin, surrounded by... well no one.

Sins of a Solar Empire

Sins of a Solar Empire is another great space game brought to you by the fine folks over at Stardock. Stardock is most widely known for the amazing Galactic Civilizations series which gets high reviews from players of strategy games and critics alike.

Sins of a Solar Empire breaks the traditional 4X template of Gal Civ and does things in real time. This opens up a whole new world for Stardock as they can get returning Gal Civ players as well as RTS gamers at the same time.

I've only tried a few random maps and skipped the tutorial but I must say, this game is fairly difficult on Normal settings. It's probably because I've been trying to expand quickly which is a bad idea it seems. Pirates raid with large fleets so if you have a few automated guns and little ships defending a planet, you will need to call in a lot of backup.

The research branches are interesting as you can focus on civilian, military, or experimental projects by themselves or all together. The research is pretty resource intensive so if you aren't mining enough stuff or making enough cash, you simply can't do research anything at all.

I think this game might appeal to those who love space exploration and conquest games but also love RTS games like Warcraft and Command and Conquer.

I'm going to go try again right now and MAYBE use the tutorial.

The MMORTS is almost upon us!

Beyond Protocol

Some vehicles head to battle maybe?

I've had my eye on Beyond Protocol for some time now as I love MMOs and also love RTS games. This game seeks to blend the two together and seems very promising. Sure you could play some RTS games online right now but you know how those go. If you aren't a veteran player, you get zerg rushed to hell and back. This discourages many people from playing much at all.

Beyond Protocol's official website can be found Here.

This game seems to offer an amazing amount of customization and the entire game is based in space and various planets. Emphasis is on PVP content but there are also some NPCs you can fight against. You can engage in warfare, become a trader, develop technology, and much more. The game is in closed beta at this time but I'm hoping to get a key soon so I can try it out firsthand.

The screenshots look pretty cool and I for one am pretty excited about the release of this game!
